The Suwannee Valley Quilt & Old Time Craft Festival will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM in historic downtown Trenton, Florida. This outdoor festival will be centered around a turn of the Century Railroad Depot. Over 300 quilts will be on display both inside and outside many historic buildings on Main Street. Main Street itself will be closed to traffic in order to accommodate The Early Ford Antique Auto Club and antique tractors that will be on display.

The event will begin with an "Antique Roadshow" Friday night at the old Railroad Depot from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. There will be live music and five Antique Evaluators available: Monica Fowler, Max Nickerson, Ron Mills, David Glynn and Vicki Sustana. Gloria has a degree in the history of quilting and would love to look at your older treasures from times past.

Inside the Depot there will be a display of Madalyn Jones's beautiful hand quilted treasures. Madalyn grew up on a farm outside of Newberry. She quilted over 300 quilts in her lifetime. The house where Madalyn was born is now the welcome house for the Dudley Farm.

Cotella Bevis will also be featured inside the Railroad Depot. Cotella was known for her bright colors and "Wild Quilt Challenges". Some of these wonderful works of art will be on display provided by the "Needle and Eye" Quilt Group from Gainesville.

If you get bored with the quilts, try sitting back and listening to the live music provided by the Philman family, clogging with the "Cross Creek Cloggers" or check out the dozen "Crafters" down the trail just past the Depot; or the six Antique Dealers beside the Depot…. Then there is the food provided by service groups and local church members. … There is something for everyone!
